A fighter in intensive systems

50% of the Montbeliarde cows are kept in plain zones, fed with a corn silage-based. The intensive systems fully show the dairy potential of the breed, able to produce more than 10.000 kg of milk per milking.  This productivity does not without degrading the longevity. The Montbeliarde cows are not very prone to metabolism diseases (puerperal fever, displaced abomasum,…) and their body reserves prevent them from a lot of health issues (fertility). They also have a strong mental balance to impose them in big herds.
